Western Ohio Freight Route Gains New LV Petroleum Travel Center

LV Petroleum is expanding its footprint in Western Ohio with the purchase of a full-service travel center along one of the region’s busiest freight corridors. The acquisition, announced during the first week of February, brings the company deeper into a part of the state where commercial traffic, long-haul routes, and local industry overlap every day. For drivers who rely on consistent services while moving goods across Ohio, the change adds another dependable stop in a stretch of road that sees heavy activity year-round.

The company noted that the site will undergo updates in line with its standard transformation process. That typically includes improvements to amenities, service areas, and overall operations. For travelers and professional drivers, it means the location will gradually shift into the experience LV Petroleum aims to offer across all of its centers.

Investment Strengthens LV Petroleum’s Ohio Expansion

For LV Petroleum, the move reflects a steady effort to grow across the Midwest and reinforce its presence in Ohio. The company already operates locations in communities like Napoleon and Jackson, and this addition strengthens its connection to routes that cut through Western Ohio’s manufacturing and agricultural regions. Leadership described the site as a valuable point along a key freight path, one that supports the daily movement of goods throughout the state.

Guy Madmon, co-founder of LV Petroleum, emphasized the importance of the area in the company’s long-term planning. “Wapakoneta is a strategic location along a major freight corridor,” he said. “This purchase represents our continued commitment to providing professional drivers with the facilities and services they need.”

The travel center brings a wide range of services under one roof. Drivers will find expanded parking, diesel fueling lanes, service bays, showers, laundry, and other features that support long hours on the road. The location will also carry Amoco-branded fuel and introduce LV Petroleum’s proprietary food concepts, adding more options for travelers who rely on accessible meals during long hauls.

As the company continues its broader expansion, Ohio remains an important part of the overall plan. LV Petroleum is preparing additional acquisitions in the coming weeks and expects to reach 78 travel centers nationwide by the end of the month. Each new location builds on the same goal: improving access to reliable, well-equipped stops for the people who keep freight moving across the country.

New Travel Hub Brings Added Capacity for Drivers and Regional Freight

The new travel hub sits in a region where freight traffic continues to rise, and that growth places steady demand on facilities that can support modern logistics. Larger vehicles, longer routes, and tighter delivery schedules mean drivers need places that are equipped for today’s realities. This site brings additional parking capacity, more fueling access, and on-site truck service that helps reduce downtime during busy runs.

Local officials and business leaders have long emphasized the importance of maintaining reliable points of support along Western Ohio’s freight corridors. These travel centers serve as essential infrastructure for the industries that depend on them. For many drivers, the difference between a productive haul and a delayed one often comes down to the quality of services available along the route.

With this acquisition, LV Petroleum is positioning the site to play a larger role in that network. As updates roll out, the company expects the travel center to become a consistent stop for drivers who move goods through the western part of the state. It marks another step in LV Petroleum’s commitment to strengthening its Midwest presence and supporting the flow of freight that underpins much of Ohio’s economy.
