Facebook, one of the most famous social media platforms in the world, helped struggling small businesses across Ohio on how to grow their brand online.
The social media giant now known as Meta hosted “Meta Boost Small Business Studios” at Vue in Columbus, Ohio, last August 3-4, 2022. Small Business Studios is a digital marketing resource hub and event series that aims to support small businesses and help them learn the “tricks of the trade.”
“This marketing event comes with training, workshops, and personalized support to help you grow your business through Facebook, Instagram, and the Metaverse,” said Lirec Williams, who made LuminU and runs the Columbus Black Owned Businesses Facebook Group.
Meta Boost Small Business Studios will offer hands-on classes for creating online media like Facebook and Instagram Reels. The Meta team will also showcase new technologies, such as the “smart sunglasses” from Ray-Ban Stories and the Meta Quest 2, the company’s virtual reality headset. Other things on the agenda include using Adobe Express to build a brand, using Instagram to connect with an audience, and learning how to promote on Facebook.
“People can use these available free tools. Free-99! Free is your buddy if you operate a business! Meta also contains everything you require,” said an excited entrepreneur Rachel Blanks.
“I have learned not to just shoot reels but all the different tools and resources in reels to engage with my audience,” Blanks added.
More than 200 million companies advertise on Facebook, and Meta aims to help them increase their sales, particularly after the pandemic. Following Columbus, the Small Business Studios is headed to Kansas and Austin in September and to San Diego in October.
